It seems like everyone is looking for a new cell phone these days.  With so many cool new devices in the past year, we are often asked what cell phone are people buying. As of June 18, 2010, here are your top 5 bestselling cell phones on the market right now:

5.  HTC Hero Android Phone (Sprint)  It's amazing how quick Google's Android phone became a top seller.  The HTC Hero Android Phone has a $599.98 retail price.  You can avoid paying retail when you buy the phone and activate a service plan.  The HTC Hero weighs only 4.5 ounces.  It has a built-in 5 mega-pixel camera/camcorder; bluetooth stereo music and a 2Gb MicroSD memory card.  Store your pictures on the memory card for downloading to your PC or make prints at the drug store.

4. Motorola DROID A855 Android Phone (Verizon Wireless)  Motorola makes a great Android phone and it weighs in at 5.9 ounces.  It has 6.4 hours of talk time which is 1.4 hours more talk time than HTC's Hero.  If you like taking pictures with your cell phone than the Motorola DROID A855 may be perfect for you with its built-in 5 mega-pixel camera/camcorder and 16Gb microSD card.

3. BlackBerry Bold 9700 Phone (AT&T)  We have been watching BlackBerry slide up and down our list ever since Android hit the market.  If you're a die-hard BlackBerry fan and have been waiting to upgrade, this couldn't be a better time.  AT&T is offering the BlackBerry Bold 9700 for just $0.01 with activation.  The unlocked version is $459.99.

2.  BlackBerry Bold 9700 Phone, White (T-Mobile)  It seems that BlackBerry's White phone from T-Mobile is outpacing AT&T for the moment.

1.  HTC EVO 4G Android Phone (Sprint)  Here it is, the bestselling phone in America right now.  The HTC EVO has been given 5 stars from customer reviews and is a 4G phone.  You've got Sprint TV and Amazon MP3 store enabled.  It boasts a 4.3 inch screen and has GPS with turn-by-turn directions.  You can ditch your portable GPS.  You also get WiFi with optional Hotspot capability; 8 mega-pixel camera with HD video capture; HDMI output; Bluetooth stereo music.  This is what I call the everything phone.

That wraps it up for this week.  Be sure to check back with us every Friday when we publish the Bestselling Phones in America list.  If you subscribe to Wireless On Air you will receive the list automatically via email.
